The Russian met the world number one for the second time in six days at the blockbuster exhibition in Saudi Arabia.
But for the eighth time in nine meetings, Medvedev finished second to the Italian and it was one of the most convincing results.
Daniil Medvedev lost 0-6, 3-6 in just 68 minutes as he had no answer to Jannik Sinner’s excellent level of play in Riyadh.

Medvedev has played against both Sinner and Alcaraz several times in the last three seasons.
He had difficulty playing against both, but previously thought Carlos Alcaraz was better than Sinner when the Spaniard was at his best.
But after his last match against Sinner, the world number five changed his mind. “I’ve never played against anyone today who played like Jannik,” he told reporters after leaving the Six Kings Slam.
“If we compare Carlos to Jannik, I would normally imagine Jannik as more consistent, more like a machine, and Carlos with a little more flair.
“But if Carlos is at his best, I would expect him to be a little better. But today I changed my mind. I’ve never played against anyone today who played like Jannik. If it wasn’t an ace, the ball came back.
“I missed some easy shots because even though I didn’t miss them at the beginning of the game, I was receiving passes. Then you have the courage and you know you have to do more and you start doubting yourself, panicking and failing.
“It was a tough feeling on the court because I felt good, fought well, my tennis wasn’t that bad and I lost easily. I can’t remember the last time this happened to me.”

Medvedev has played a total of 22 games against Alcaraz and Sinner.
Of the eight games he played against the Spaniard, he only won twice and lost the last four.
Medvedev has played against Sinner 14 times, and initially wore Sinner’s number when he won the first six contests.
But Sinner is now dominating and has leveled the rivalry at seven wins each with his win at the Shanghai Masters on October 10.
