The Reds’ Premier League season resumes at 4:30pm BST on Sunday and the head coach is still unsure who will be available for the game against the Blues at Anfield.
During his pre-match press conference on Friday morning, Slot Alisson Becker confirmed will be sidelined for several weeks due to the injury he sustained in the 1-0 win at Crystal Palace two weeks ago.
And he also revealed that decisions need to be made about a number of other players after the international break.
Slot said: “Alisson certainly won’t be with us in the coming weeks, that’s clear. This is a big blow for him and for us because I think he has done really well this season and has performed well for this club for so many years.
“The good thing is, and I have said this many times, that Caoimhin [Kelleher] Things have worked out well for us in recent years and this season too, so we have a good replacement. But you always want all your players to be available.
“Now we have quite a problem with players returning from the national teams and we can only judge that perfectly today because today is the first time that they are all there and the first time that they are all training together again. So let’s see where everyone is after the meeting.
“Macca [Alexis Mac Allister] missed a game [for Argentina]he played second. Costas [Tsimikas] I missed the first game against England so I can list them all, but we still have a few problems and let’s see where we are today. [Wataru] Endo was sick too.”
