Charley Hull praised Golf Saudi’s work to encourage more women and girls to get involved in golf.
Hull, 28, was so impressed by the development of women’s football since its launch in the Kingdom in 2020 that she decided to sign a contract to become a Gulf Saudi ambassador earlier this season.
The LPGA Tour superstar made her feelings on all things Golf Saudi clear just two weeks before she took part in the season finale of the Aramco Team Series presented by PIF.

The tournament, organized by Golf Saudi and held as part of the Ladies European Tour, will take place from October 31st to November 2nd at the Riyadh Golf Club in Saudi Arabia.
Hull has achieved nine top-10 finishes in just ten appearances in the Aramco Team Series, highlighted by a lone win in New York in 2021.
Despite some impressive performances around the world in recent years, including runner-up finishes at the US Women’s Open and AIG Women’s Open in 2023, Hull’s last individual victory came two years ago on the LPGA Tour at the 2022 Volunteers of America Classic.
England’s Hull has competed in Saudi Arabia a total of eight times in her career, including in both the Aramco Team Series and the Aramco Saudi Ladies International.
As Hull reflected on her experiences in the Kingdom over the past few years, she pointed to the sport’s remarkable growth in Saudi Arabia since its debut in 2020.
“The work that Golf Saudi continues to do to introduce more women and girls to the sport through these events and beyond is inspiring and I am incredibly grateful to be a part of the legacy they are leaving behind,” Hull said.
“The sport has grown by leaps and bounds here. Last year we saw the tournaments move to Riyadh, which I think shows the Kingdom’s growing passion for the sport as more and more fans come to watch us.”

Here’s what Golf Saudi has to say about its role in this game:
“Golf Saudi facilitates uptake and participation in golf by providing world-class facilities, operational excellence and implementing best industry practices to position the Kingdom as an exceptional golfing nation. Combined with grassroots training and educational programs that introduce people to the sport of golf, Golf Saudi is committed to enabling the game at the earliest opportunity and with the utmost ease, delivering a dynamic national development program that is transforming the golf landscape.”
Hull’s latest comments on Golf Saudi come as Saudi PIF Governor Yasir Al-Rumayyan, who also serves as Aramco’s chief executive, is trying to finalize a framework agreement in the men’s game with the PGA Tour and DP World Tour.
PIF, PGA Tour and DP World Tour first announced their framework agreement in June 2023 to house all of their commercial operations under one for-profit entity.
The framework agreement expired at the end of 2023 but all parties have continued to hold discussions this season, most recently at Dunhill Links in St Andrews earlier this month.
Al-Rumayyan attended the first round of the DP World Tour event alongside PGA Tour Commissioner Jay Monahan.
Guy Kinnings, the newly promoted CEO of the DP World Tour, was also there to lead showdown talks at the Home of Golf.
Rory McIlroy, who played alongside his father Gerry, was also allowed to play in the same groups as Al-Rumayyan and Monahan during the tournament.
There is currently hope in the golf industry that an eventual deal between the PIF, PGA Tour and DP World Tour will help reunite men’s professional golf following the emergence of the breakaway Saudi-funded LIV Golf circuit in 2022 .
LIV Golf has attracted some of the PGA Tour’s top talent in recent years, including Jon Rahm, Brooks Koepka, Bryson DeChambeau, Sergio Garcia and Tyrrell Hatton.
