Autocrat should be ready to go and is better on the all-weather track than on turf. Keep an eye on the market to see if Jaafel is popular, as that could be a big sign if he’s close. Nibiru has a great record on the pitch and is extremely effective in his game. He comes along when he travels and sets a really good standard. He should be hard to beat.

I understand why people are making the case for Church Mountain after his win in Dundalk last week. Elsa’s Pride should be close, but the draw in box 17 isn’t ideal, so I’ll have to counter her. I landed Beauparc for Gerard Keane. She hadn’t run for about a year until her third run at Naas in August, and her last run at Leopardstown certainly compares. It should be suitable for the surface and it is in stall one which is a bonus. If she gets a grade of 65, she could well be handicapped.

This is a very competitive handicap. gesture has a brilliant all-weather record and is both course and distance winner. He’s fine and I can imagine Shane Foley sitting at second or third and making his move late. He could have the biggest advantage with a grade of 86.

Stephen Thorne has Wizard Of Odds after leaving the court of Charles O’Brien. He defeated King Thistle at Down Royal earlier this year and is making his handicap debut. He may be close, just like Sir Jeremy, but I’m there Karazhal. He won at Dundalk in September and is open to further improvement. He is an unknown and can overcome his draw of 15. I can imagine it being rated in the 90s.

Monzoon, a course and distance winner, is interesting on the all-weather surface, but I’m in Akeela. She won at Naas in the summer and there is more to come from her. She is undiscovered and I forgive her the run at Listowel last time when she had a poor draw. Alan Persse is on board and also weighs 7 pounds, which is a bonus.

Mary Bagot should be all the better after her last run in Dundalk and she has a race to go. Aisling Oscar could also be close but she has a poor draw in box 17. Count me in Mag for Kieran Patrick Cotter. She rode a cracker behind Black Storm a few weeks ago and has mastered the surface. She should be hard to beat and last time she faced a good opponent in Black Storm.

During a tough race, I move to the side with the unexposed runner Just for one day. Mark Molloy’s runner last won at the Curragh in September and there could be more to come from her. All of her family members have a polytrack shape, so she should be able to handle the surface. An opening score of 72, with James Ryan weighing 3 pounds, is more than doable.

There are question marks with many of these runners, so I fall back on Supreme Success. Joseph O’Brien’s yard is in great shape, but it didn’t go particularly well at Fairyhouse last time out. You can forgive that run and their second run at Gowran Park before that proved there was something there. She can beat her odds.
