Samooja and Vincent were both relegated in 2024 and it is likely that LIV are already looking for replacement players ahead of their fourth season, which begins next February.
Marquee newcomer Jon Rahm is reportedly interested in having a Callaway employee replace the aforementioned Vincent in his Legion XIII.
Angel Hidalgo, who recently edged Rahm to victory in a thrilling playoff at the Spanish Open in Madrid, has been linked with a move, although this report is unfounded.
There will reportedly only be one ticket available for the promotional event in December.
The claim was made by ProGolfCritic on X, who pointed out that four wildcard courses will be available in 2025.
Hudson Swafford and Anthony Kim didn’t play for any team this year and were two of LIV’s wild cards.
Kim returned to the game for the first time since disappearing from the PGA Tour in 2012.
Swafford was part of Bryson DeChambeau’s Crushers squad before being sidelined by a lengthy injury.
There were reports that LIV originally held the promotional event solely to secure official World Golf Ranking accreditation.
LIV was officially rejected during the points application last October.
Their commissioner Greg Norman later confirmed that LIV had decided to abandon their bid entirely.
Sergio Garcia told it recently GolfMagic what he thinks about this topic.
“To be completely honest, I don’t think world ranking points are worth it to us anymore,” he said.
“Even if we were to get world ranking points now that we’re down to 390th like me, that just wouldn’t really help most of us.”
“We looked at it and for someone to stay in the top 50 in the world you would probably have to win 10 of the 14 tournaments on LIV Golf.”
Our Andy Roberts wrote a detailed post here explaining why he thinks Garcia is right.
