Specialized launched a day of free bike repairs on Saturday, October 26, 2024, with the goal of restoring one million unused bikes to rideable condition by the end of 2025. The promotion is not limited to Specialized bikes and you can bring bikes from any manufacturer brand for one more time
In addition to the free repairs, there is a discount on major repairs booked for a later date and Specialized offers a free helmet for children.
The first event, titled “Reduce, Reuse, ReSpecialized,” will take place on Saturday, October 26, 2024 at participating Specialized retailers worldwide. It is part of the brand’s celebration of its fiftieth anniversary.

Simple corrections for free
Specialized believes that in many cases bikes are not used due to flat tires, a noisy chain or poor brake or gearshift settings. All of this can be repaired easily and free of charge on October 26th. Owners must pay for all parts needed.
If Specialized’s mechanics determine that a bike needs more serious work, riders receive a voucher that offers a significant discount on parts and service and can be booked for a later date.
The brand has summarized the benefits of putting a million bikes back on the road, claiming that even if each were ridden just 12 miles a week, CO2 emissions would be reduced by 438 million kilograms, equivalent to planting over 7 million corresponds to trees.
